5 Reasons To Begin An iGaming Blog

I have always enjoyed a good blog, and you can tell from the first two paragraphs how passionate the person is about their subject. Blogging has been around since the early 2000s; the only difference is now they can be monetized, whereas back then, they were more like journals.

Today, I want to examine why you should start an iGaming blog and what elements go into creating a great blog. As an avid reader, I have come across some blogs that read like digital marketing scripts rather than subject matter.

Things To Consider Before Starting an iGaming Blog

Before I share with you why you should start an iGaming blog, there are a few things potential bloggers should know before starting an iGaming blog or any other blog.

  • Be clear about your niche and your blog’s purpose, and ensure you won’t be sidetracked by something else. The subject or topic should be something you are well versed in or are willing to research thoroughly.
  • Know who you are writing for and curate your content for that audience. Technical people don’t want to read paragraphs upon paragraphs of writing, and some want more visuals.
  • Pay attention to the design layout. I’ve found that a busy page can be disruptive and cause people to log off. Design your page with the reader in mind, but let some of your personality shine through.
  • Choose a good hosting platform. You might be tempted to choose the free option, but sometimes it pays to pay.
  • Make sure your blog works seamlessly and use the power of integration for maximum boost. A recent study showed that the average time span of internet users is 8.25 seconds. If your blog has slow loading times and blurry images, you will lose readers. As a very impatient person, I can attest to these stats.

Why You Should Focus on iGaming

Gambling is at its peak right now; something related to gambling is everywhere you turn. Developers release new online slots every week, and sportsbook companies sponsor everything lately. I have even seen a sportsbook sponsor a beauty pageant.

So, if you want to start blogging and make money, gambling is the place to do it, and here’s why.

1.   People Are Interested.

As more people venture into gambling, especially digital gambling, there is a need for how-to tutorials in the gambling space. As a blogger, you can share winning strategies and provide insights on how certain aspects of gaming work, I mean who doesn’t want to better their chances of winning?

When I find value in an article I share it and I know this is true for many people.

2.   Variety in Topics

Blogging about gambling isn’t limited to casino games and sports betting; you. I’ve linked several topics including Hollywood stars who gamble on new technology. Gambling is a vibrant and dynamic industry. There are always new techniques and changes in legislation worldwide.

Gambling encompasses many things, meaning different things in different parts of the world. For example, eSports is booming in Asian countries, while sports betting is being legalized in some states in the USA.

3.   Money

If you have good-quality content, monetizing your blog should be easy. If you do it correctly, affiliate marketing can earn you a good income. Note that I said done correctly because some bloggers assume more is better and add links everywhere on their page. It’s like watching a thirty-minute show with twenty minutes of ads.

The most reliable programs that I’ve seen include the Amazon associates affiliates program and the eBay partner network. If you link your blog to your social media accounts, you can gain greater exposure, which means more traffic to your blog.

Many social media followers could also open up partnership opportunities on various platforms, which means more money.

4.   Low Cost

Most bloggers opt for free platforms, especially when starting. The paid versions sometimes offer more in terms of design packages. WordPress is one of my favorites, and I must say it’s a popular and trusted blogging platform. It’s used by dozens of bloggers and affiliate programs.

A gambling blog is reasonably priced, I must say. A basic starter package on WordPress is $4 (excluding taxes) per month.

5.   It’s Fun

I’m sure you didn’t expect this to be a reason to start blogging, but it should be. Why would you do anything if you don’t enjoy it? Gambling is fun, and if you focus on a niche you are passionate about, you will never run out of things to write about.

Final Word

I have realized that Baby boomers still enjoy bingo halls and traditional casinos, while on the other hand, Gen X and the Millenials are all about the digital gambling scene and private poker lounges.

Soon, Gen Z players will be in the metaverse. So, if you’re still skeptical about gambling blogs, trust me, they’re here to stay. It does take a lot of hard work, and success is not overnight. It may take a couple of months or even years to become a top earner, even with quality content.
